We are still waiting to receive more information regarding President Biden’s $1.9 trillion relief plan and how it will affect our businesses. On January 28, he signed an executive order that directs federal agencies to reconsider rules and other policies that limit American’s access to comprehensive health care, such as by allowing coverage alternatives under ACA-compliant plans, and to consider actions that will protect and strengthen access to comprehensive health care coverage. Again, we will share more once we hear.

Furthermore, employers continue to make benefits changes to support their workforce through the COVID-19 pandemic, new research indicates. It seems that flexible leave and reimbursing remote-work expenses are becoming more common. Accordingly, the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB’s) acting general counsel announced on February 1st that he was rescinding 10 memos that he considered inconsistent with the National Labor Relations Act’s (NLRA’s) purpose, including one memo on employee handbook rules.
